Newsletter Copywriting

Newletters are a brilliant way of keeping in touch with your customers while building trust and credibility with them. The key to success is content - great content will keep them coming back for more. Conversely, without interesting, engaging and valuable content a newsletter is just a sales brochure, or at worst, considered to be spam.

Printed Newsletters vs. Email Newsletters

You'll need to decide early on whether your newsletter will be printed or distributed via email. Email is certainly cheaper, and can be tracked and measured accurately. It also allows for an instant click-through to a sales offer. However, nothing beats print for readability and a printed newsletter will be read by more people (how many emails are in your inbox right now? It's too easy to hit 'delete').

It all depends on what you're trying to say and what you want to achieve. With over 15 years experience producing newsletters, Well Worded can advise on the best approach for your business.

Give something of value to your customers

The best newsletters - the ones that grow over time rather than slowly shrink and perish - are those that offer something that your customers really value. Engaging and topical information that is relevant to their interests; how-to guides; reviews of related products or software; even a little humour can all help create something that your customers will treat as a regular pleasure, rather than just another sales spiel.
